PH.D. THESIS TITLE: ACCESS CONTROL MECHANISM FOR PREVENTION OF INSIDER THREAT IN DISTRIBUTED CLOUD ENVIRONMENT
BRIEF RESEARCH WORK DONE DURING PH.D.
Research Work in Ph. D. aims to give an Access Control Mechanism to prevent Insider (Organization Employee) Threats in the Cloud environment. It proposes a Blockchain-based robust technique for Authorization of log files of insiders in the Cloud environment. Insider Authentication and Activity details are stored in the Blockchain. The proposed solution greatly solves the Insider Threat issue by providing access control to system logs. The proposal also includes a Distributed Architecture. It offers better Insider Authorization control in the Cloud environment. It employs multiple Authorization Policy Enforcement Point (PEP) and Policy Deciding Point (PDP) servers. This architecture aims to achieve significantly better results in scalability and performance. Insiders manage the PEP and PDP servers, so it is necessary to track their activity. For achieving Data protection, a protocol is suggested in this work. It complements the already proposed Distributed Architecture for better Insider Authorization control in the cloud environment. A Blockchain server stores all the messages between PEP and PDP.

RESARCH TOPICS
1. CLOUD SECURITY:- The research area concentrated on investigating insider threats in cloud computing. It also examined and proposed the authorization architecture for insiders and its constraints. The significance of blockchain in mitigating insider threats and its association with user authorization was a key focus. The study explored both domains: blockchain technology and the impact of Indian IT laws. The research publications included both review papers and proposed work implementations in esteemed journals.
2. STEGANOGRAPHY:- The research focused on uncovering the latent potential of digital files for data storage. It covered a range of digital media, including images, videos, MRI scans, X-ray images, ultrasound recordings, 2D barcodes, 3D barcodes, and MP3 files. The scholarly publications included both review articles and proposed work implementations in esteemed journals.
3. IMAGE PROCESSING:- The research work focuses on a comparative study of image segmentation and clustering algorithms. Further in this Direction, research includes the detection of COVID-19 from X-ray images . The studies conducted have been published in journals of repute.
4. DDOS ATTACKS AND NS2 SIMULATOR:- The research work focuses on detection of Distributed Denial of Service attacks in computer networks and on Active Queue management of packets in NS2. The studies conducted have been published in peer reviewed journals.
5. IoT BASED GREEN FARMING USING LORAWAN:- The study centers on IoT-based Green Farming employing LoRaWAN technology. The research was carried out in a simulated environment using the Cupcarbon Simulator for Broccoli and Brinjal crops, adhering to the optimal temperature range suggested by the ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research for the Indian subcontinent.
PATENT GRANTED
One Australian Design Patent on INDUSTRIAL DIGITIAL ASSISTANTS (IDA): DESIGNING AND REORGANIZING THE WORKPLACE LAYOUT FOR THE INDUSTRIES THROUGH AI TECHNIQUES DURING LARGE SCALE PANDEMICS
Brief Detail : A dedicated proposed Industrial Digital Assistant system with well-equipped surveillance cameras, occupancy sensors, and software at its workplace that can detect whether an employee has violated social distancing rules. The Industrial Digital Assistants (IDA) employs machine learning and deep learning prototypes to distinguish individuals from their environment, as well as occupancy sensors to estimate the relative range between employers. The proposed invention is one of the first systems to analyze the emotions of the workers in terms of their movement and interactions along with social distancing protocols. As the invention uses Al for its decisions support system, it is reliable and comprehensive tool to track social distancing. The software uses the best machine learning and deep learning technologies to recognize regions where it can enhance social distancing in its amenities by trusting on internal camera systems. This invention uses object detection and tracking method for preserving the social distancing wherever any person is figured out in the real-time with the help of closed boundary.
